For Katie & Brian, their special day was truly a step back in time. From the black and white theme of the wedding party and elegant decor, to the sophisticated glamour of sunset-lit candles, this wedding set among the beautifully-aged architecture of San Diego’s historic Balboa Park was anything but ordinary. With features such as tranquil water ponds, surrounded by exotic gardens, an aviary and an intricate sculpture garden, the sunset ceremony and reception was its own picturesque garden, strung together by floating string lights and endless crystal glasses of champagne. This step back in time was a memorable time for Katie and Brian, as they made their first steps forward in their life together. It was an amazing experience working with wedding coordinator Nicole George of Nicole George Event Planning & Design, as well as live wedding band JP Hunten Music and the exquisite venue of the San Diego Museum of Art in creating the perfect ambiance and vision for Katie & Brian’s joyous day.

What was the most memorable moment of your day?
We both say our first dance. We didn’t shorten the song and it allowed us to really enjoy the moment and each other.
Any advice for future bride/grooms?
Don’t let anyone change your vision and don’t settle!!! Be open to suggestions, but if you see something a certain way in your head your vendors should be able to make that a reality!
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Brian: Yes, I would eat more.
Katie: Not a thing! I ate, I took it all in and it was an amazing night!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We are going to Portugal (Lisbon, Madeira and Faro) at the end of May.
